Ensuring suppliers are successful – Part 2

Last week we shared best practices for optimizing use of the aptitude platform and the information available to users. Today we will recap some of our newest functionality that was deployed this year, plus provide a sneak peek into what’s to come in the new year.

Recent Releases + What’s Coming in 2020

New structure for building offers

While agreements were previously created with 10 levels by market share, we recently released more options that allow the flexibility to have fewer tiers and by different components, such as total and unit volume. This means multiple versions / offers can be sent to the provider for review and input allowing for multiple value propositions.

Mix it up

Early in 2020, a few more options are being released so you can do combinations, such as market share plus volume. This facilitates the flexibility to create offers how the providers want to see them and to really customize the response based on the needs of the specific organization and your business objectives.

Simplifying the business

Another element to the aptitude platform that we are continuously enhancing is the ability to quickly upload pricing files and systematically identify any issues, such as unit of measure discrepancies. We focus on making it both robust and user friendly.

Our system now helps you identify errors before the files are shared with provider partners and streamlines the process to make it easier for you and your team. When you identify issues before sharing, it’s less cumbersome and more efficient than sending spreadsheets back and forth.

In addition to error notification, we also provide you with metrics highlighting any pricing increases to ensure accuracy and optimized offers.

Cross references are a challenge, across the board

Managing cross references is an extremely time-consuming process for both providers and suppliers. We recently deployed a catalog with features to help streamline and simplify the process for providers. Coming in 2020, sellers will also have access to a catalog to help with cross referencing. We are a market environment that supports both sides, so we want to provide joint resources that make the process easier for all.

As a central location for providers, and soon for suppliers as well, we believe this will drive value for the industry by serving as a facilitator and aggregator of information – not providing the information itself but sharing what is happening in the market. Clinicians can approve, add comments/trial notes, and access it any time as a resource that lives across the organization.

Help us, help you

With over 10,000 project development hours in 2019, it’s easy to see how committed we are to continuous improvement – and we have no plans to slow down in 2020. Each enhancement is a direct result of our team working with, and listening to, the people who use it. To be a part of our customer feedback team that helps drive the platform forward, send us an to email ask@aptitude.com.

We hope you enjoyed this two part series as we shared best practices and our plans for 2020.  Keep an eye on our events page for future opportunities to connect with team aptitude and to register for training sessions to stay in the loop on new functionality as it is released.
